Chinese crude steel has been net imports for 4 consecutive months this year, and the steel industry has played an important role in Chinese economic recovery.

Data showed that from January to September, Chinese crude steel output increased by 4.5% year on year to 780 million tons. Steel imports increased by 72.2% year on year and exports fell by 19.6% year on year.
