Online Canton Fair will be held in June

According to news from the Ministry of Commerce of China, the 127th China Import and Export Fair will be held online from June 15 to 24 for a period of 10 days.

The China Import and Export Fair was founded on April 25, 1957. It is held in Guangzhou each spring and autumn. It is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the People ’s Government of Guangdong Province and undertaken by the China Foreign Trade Center. It is currently the longest history, the highest level, the largest scale, the most complete variety of goods, the largest number of buyers at the meeting, the widest distribution of country regions, and the best transaction effect. It is known as the barometer of China ’s Import and Export trade.

Xingqian Li, director of the Department of Foreign Trade, said that the 127th China Import and Export Fair Innovation proposed to replace the physical exhibition with an online exhibition, which is not only a pragmatic measure to deal with the epidemic, but also a major measure for innovative development. This session of the Online China Import and Export Fair will mainly include three major interactive sections, which will integrate display, negotiation and trading.

Canton Fair

  1. Establish an online display docking platform. The China Import and Export Fair will promote all 25,000 exhibitors to go online for display, and will be divided into export exhibitions and import exhibitions according to the familiar physical exhibition settings.  16 categories of commodities such as textiles and apparel, medicine and health care are set up in 50 exhibition areas respectively; the import exhibition will set up 6 major themes such as electronic appliances and building materials and hardware.
  2. Establish a cross-border e-commerce zone. Through the establishment of exchange links, online business activities will be carried out at a unified time according to the unified name and image established by the Canton Fair.
  3. Provide live marketing services. Online live broadcast and links will be established, and a 10 × 24 hour online live broadcast room will be set up for each exhibitor.
